“The Bible is not my book nor Christianity my profession.”
― Abraham Lincoln, Speeches and Writings, 1832-1858

Of course, Lincoln can only be speaking the truth. The Bible is not his book; it is the Book of God. Neither   is religion his  profession because he does not make money out of it, he does not make a living out of religion and neither will he ever do so.

But so many Bible-clutching preachers and ministers and pastors and founders of different and opposing religious and church organizations have been claiming the Bible as their own and amassing great wealth out of religion. There is even one who I always hear saying and telling the world that he is the Son of God holding office somewhere in the southern part of the Philippines.
In prayer, the conversation is exclusively between God and the individual. Jesus teaches His disciples, the true Christians, to pray to their heavenly Father in SECRET and He will likewise grant their supplications in SECRET. But stupid preachers insist on teaching their blind followers to pray memorized and high-sounding words that have been conceived in vain by their foolish minds. God knows what each of us needs and wants, and most certainly, He only provides for what we need. The truth is, He has already provided anything and everything we will ever need. All we have to do is obey the instruction of His Word on how to get it. And that is why we pray - to seek knowledge and understanding of His instructions that we may abide it in faith. - martincruzjr.
